This is the painting i'm working on in the picture below of my setup with the umbrella.

mike rooney studios: n topsail beach, nc, United States; i love to go outside and paint in bright sunlight. the way it acts when it hits objects. one day its a boat in a marina. the next its an urban street scene with people and cars. i show at about a dozen galleries from cape cod to key west.
