this is one from a marina near Cedar Point. it had the wall of the dry stack building in it but i took it out and what a difference it made compositionally. thats whats so great about oil paint! you can take stuff out. you watercolor painters cant do that... HeHeHe(smirk)!

In small, subtle ways you showed the shadow underbelly of the boat just a slightly cooler color than the top which makes this so believable.
I really enjoy seeing how you " see " and interpret.
PS- Is Jamies' progress continuing to improve? I'm guessing that you're taking a small break from the daily reports but I wanted to send some good wishes along anyway.
Bonnie
bonnie- he is doing great. he's staying with his grandma during the day and has been in some pain but with all that he went thru, of course thats to be expected right?
thanks for asking and your support during the ordeal
i love to look for those little, subtle temperature shifts. it adds that little "oomph" and actually mirrors reality. you just have to see it
I really like this one Mike. Great expressive color.
rusty
thanks man. i like to push color just a bit if the scene's not a showstopper. liked your copper pots you did recently. it was sweet!
