Larry Kinkade 12/60-4/14

found out while I was on the road that a good surfing buddy (and my backdoor neighbor) larry kinkade died in a freak work accident on his backhoe last week. we had a paddle out ceremony in the waters off the surf city pier yesterday. in surfing tradition we get in a circle and remember the person and tell stories, splash water and then throw flowers in the water. before we all hit the water, what a sight it was to see 50 or 60 surfboards lined up down the beach with larrys at the head of the line just inches from the surf. After we paddled out and got in a circle, larrys ashes were put into the water where he loved to be. RiP my good friend. you're surfing the big ones everyday now. show me the good breaks when I get there too ok?
