This is the original painting. painted several years ago. it never sold. Surprise, right? NOT!
 
oh sooo ugly. here are the changes i made.
 
simplified the grass and made it much brighter. 
changed the color scheme warming it up, brightening and lightening it up.
simplified the water strip in the back and made it connect to the tidal pool
punched up the sky.
 
that's better!

WOW MIKE ! I like the new direction very colorful !!I guess I need to take a new workshop !! I've been tryin to color match.. like the "Sherwin-Williams paint guy" LOL I remember watercolorist Tom Jones said .."make your painting colorful so it draws the eye to it and draws the eye " I really like what you are doing!! Wayne

I agree! - I like this new direction, too!! Just curious, did you paint 'over' the old painting, or start a completely new one? (love it, this new color sense is light & beautiful!).
