Did a bunch of these bride paintings last winter and had the itch to do another last night. love how you can see thru the gauzey dress where she's pulling on it.
love the bride Mike - so easy to make that kind of image over-sentimental but instead this is playful and very painterly. Terrific composition and paint handling.
sheila- thanks! those brides dresses are fun to paint in contrast to the skin tones and i like the motion they convey when the bride holds them up or swings them around. nice reflected light shapes too!
It was very well authored and easy to understand. Unlike additional blogs I have read which are really not that good. I also found your posts very interesting.
